Jacopo Truffa is the winner of the “UTme! Contest,” a project conceived by UNIQLO to provide a creative space for young talents from Rome.
The design is inspired by the legend of cuore di Nerone (Nero’s heart), which appears on one of the cobblestones in St. Peter’s Square. It is said that the heart was carved by Michelangelo or Bernini. According to other legends, the heart was created by a woman as a tribute to her husband who was unjustly condemned to death.
